FHI360 Media Specialist Advisor in United States
FHI 360 seeks a Media Specialist Advisor for an anticipated USAID civil society strengthening program in Niger. The project will aim to strengthen government accountability and building civil society. Likely focusing in the areas of Zinder and Agadez.
Assists the Activity’s efforts to promote a strategic communications approach to catalyze public demand for accountability, and incorporate this approach as crosscutting to all results of the Activity.
Bachelor’s Degree or its International Equivalent - Knowledge/Information Services, Communications, Education, Environment, Health, Behavioral, Life/Social Sciences International Development, Human Development or Related Field.
Must have at least five (5) years’ experience in strategic communications, media advocacy and engagement on rule of law, human rights, transparency and accountability issues, or related fields.
Must have two (2) or more year’s technical experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders.
Experience in media work in Niger is preferred.
Must be able to read, write and speak fluent French.
Prior experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO).
