YOUR NEW ROLE, WHAT’S INVOLVED?

We are seeking a Project Delivery Director to join our Energy Transition business. You will lead our Project Delivery group comprising project management, construction management, and project control professionals working across Energy Transition sectors which include Power Generation and Conversion Technologies, Carbon Capture, Hydrogen and Gas Distribution and Transmission, Renewables, and Quality and Inspection Services.

As part of the Energy Transition Leadership team, you will be responsible for delivery performance across our projects and the growth of the Project Management group. You will also provide Project Director level leadership to multi-disciplinary teams on major projects across Energy Transition.

Suitable candidates will be highly ambitious and driven, with experience of leading and growing teams. You will be able to demonstrate excellent client care, and a proven and successful approach to business development and delivery excellence.

Key role dynamics are:

• Providing strategic direction aligning with our Energy Transition Strategy and contributing to the wider Energy business strategy development.

• Being accountable for project delivery performance including financial, people development and engagement, enhancing technical expertise and client satisfaction.

• Collaborating across the UK and global geographies.

• Driving innovation and productivity through the development and implementation of new tools and methods.

• Providing visible leadership in safety, health, and wellbeing, committed to a zero-harm culture.

• Leading influence in governance and control across projects.

• An experienced leader known for driving innovation and trust, with a strong strategic vision and transformative leadership skills.

• A collaborative team builder, excelling in relationship-building and passionate about developing people, with a commitment to fostering team retention, progression, diversity, and inclusion.

• Capable of developing strong client relationships and have a proven track record of delivering projects across all stages of development in the Energy sector.

• Ideally carrying significant experience across different consulting and contracting models such as EPC, EPCM, Reimbursable, Incentivised, and Fixed Price.

• Holding experience of delivering consultancy services in the Energy sector with a commitment to problem solving in a collaborative way;

• Able to deal with conflicting priorities and to offer win-win solutions;

• Willing to travel within the UK and overseas.

• Educated to degree standard, with an MBA or relevant post-degree qualification being a further advantage. Exceptional candidates without a degree will also be considered if they can demonstrate equivalent professional qualifications (e.g. Chartered status) by suitable experience.

• A full Member of a relevant professional body.

• Continuing and evidencing your professional development, through participation in relevant organisations, conferences, events and self-study.
