Pharmacy Technician Opportunity -
This is a part time, day shift position with the opportunity to work 20-30 hours per week. Weekend coverage is required.
Fuller Hospital is a 109-bed licensed, private psychiatric facility located in South Attleboro, Massachusetts providing inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services to residents of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Inpatient units are designed to treat adults with general psychiatric or intellectual disabilities, as well as adolescents with general psychiatric issues. Patients with co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders can be treated on most units. Fuller Hospital also provides a less intensive Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) to patients with psychiatric and co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders.

Responsibilities
Accurately fills medication orders under direction of a pharmacist
Reviews and ensures accuracy of dosage and medication for each patient
Delivers narcotics and stock medications to the units in a timely manner
Inspects medication rooms on an ongoing basis, reporting findings monthly
Maintains pharmacy inventory at a proper level
Returns medications of discharged patients according to policy
Pulls outdated/recalled medications and prepares them for return
Maintains night cabinet on a daily basis with medications and supplies
Updates night cabinet with new supplies as needed
Maintains stock medications on each unit
Enters data accurately and timely into pharmacy computer

Qualifications
Requirements
Education / Certification - High school diploma or equivalent. Have completed a board approved training program or have completed a minimum of 500 hours of employment as a pharmacy technician trainee. Passed board-approved Pharmacy Technician Assessment Examination administered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or pharmacy employer. Maintains a Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician Registration at all times.
Experience - Minimum of 500 hours of employment as a Pharmacy Technician or Technician Trainee.
Skills - The ability to identify drugs as prescribed by a provider through training. The ability to interpret provider orders of medication with the guidance and approval of the Pharmacist. The ability to distribute narcotics to the Medication Nurse according to Massachusetts State Laws.
