The Opportunity: Avantor is looking for a strategic Marketing Communications Specialist to join our evolving Global Communications and Brand team, providing marketing support to our NuSil brand. In this role, you will assist in implementing strategic campaigns for Avantor's Biomaterials and Advanced Technologies business across various customer segments and portfolio lines. This role will be a full-time, remote position (with travel to onsite locations as needed). The Marketing Communications Specialist will collaborate globally with Avantor's Strategic Marketing team, members of Avantor's global communications team, and external agency partners to manage and execute elements in the integrated communications and marketing campaign program. The role will also be accountable for measuring and reporting program results on a routine basis to drive optimization and visibility. What we're looking for Education: Bachelor's degree required (Marketing, Communications, Business, Sciences) Experience: 4 - 6 years of communications, marketing, campaign development and demand generation or related agency experience with a successful track record in executing global marketing communications campaigns. Digital marketing background preferred. Experience working within highly regulated environments, biotechnology, pharma, life sciences, or advanced technology businesses/products preferred. Experience in developing effective marketing strategies/plans and executing on content development. Global experience is a plus. Trade show experience is a plus. Workfront software experience nice to have. A communications lens, a business orientation, an understanding of the relevant corporate functions and a focus on performance. A team player mentality with strong interpersonal skills is key. Highly organized self-starter with enthusiasm for creative work and ability to handle simultaneous projects. Excellent organizational, analytical, communication and presentation skills. Operates with a proactive mindset and be geared toward collaborative problem-solving. Amenable to ambiguity and able to see past today; can adjust to meet market demands and business realities with creativity. Ability to work in a fast-paced/high-growth environment. Shares values of taking initiative, accountability, and prioritization. Strong negotiation skills Strong analytical skills Travel to onsite locations as needed, primarily Carpinteria, CA. How you will thrive and create an impact Integrates appropriate marketing methods and channels to implement marketing communication plans and content that leverage all available appropriate media including social, digital, mobile, search and email campaigns to reach customers and meet defined business objective. Ensure plans are globally consistent yet regionally appropriate and that they are executed within assigned budgets. Creates and implements innovative channel programs and go-to market plans designed to maximize new product and supplier launches. Drives sales of specific products & awareness of Biomaterials and Advanced Technologies in various market segments. Presents marketing concepts and programs to internal customers in an organized and professional manner. Collaborates with sales force to leverage program(s) and drive sales. Leads collaboration and message development between internal customers, marketing services and field organization in production and implementation of materials. Incorporates ROI to improve future programs. Manages Avantor's NuSil presence and brand in all activities through team collaboration and outstanding execution. Performs other duties as assigned.
