Role Purpose

To ensure contract adherence between Spirit Europe and its customers and to manage their interface through the application of commercial awareness and contractual knowledge. Management of sustaining commercial aircraft contracts to deliver best value for the business.

Senior Contracts Officer

This opportunity, based at our Prestwick site offers:

  • 37 hour working week (half day Friday)

Responsibilities

  • Submission of commercial claims, customer reports and pricing analysis.

  • Designated contact lead for specific customers managing communication, correspondence and purchase orders.

  • Participate in senior level internal meetings representing Customer Contracts to ensure commercial awareness and assistance in resolution of customer issues.

  • Commercial management of the Business Change processes.

  • Negotiation and agreement with the customer of price impacts associated with the contract change process.

  • Primary interface between our customers and all internal business functions to ensure commercial issues are addressed on a timely basis in support of business needs.

  • Contractual support/ conscience to the business.

  • Contract creation and maintenance in SAP in compliance with commercial procedures and controls to ensure validity of sales pricing.

  • Negotiation of customer purchase orders and creation of sales orders on SAP for all non-recurring business activity in accordance with PO terms and conditions.

  • Interpretation of cost data and rationale in preparation of commercial claims prior to submission and negotiation.

  • Analysis and negotiation of customer claims to agree commercial liability and cost resolution.

  • Creation of proposals with routing for signature in line with business processes and procedures.

  • Certification of Claims and Assertions in line with business processes and procedures.

  • Review, draft and negotiate commercial contracts.

  • Development of effective working relationships with our customers.

  • Management of due dates and deliverables.

  • Management of commercial reviews with customers and leadership on designated commercial tasks.

  • Submit and negotiate customer claims.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Degree or equivalent qualifications and experience preferred

  • Experienced in contract management and customer negotiations

  • Experienced in communicating both written and orally internally within the business and externally with customers

  • Ability to manage complex tasks, small projects and resources

  • Ability to manage due dates

  • Well developed IT skills, SAP system competency preferred Working knowledge of Contract Terms and Conditions Good financial judgement

  • Skilled at relationship management

  • Developed planning and organisational skills

  • Project and stakeholder management skills
