Illinois Oil Marketing Equip Delivery Driver in Pekin, Illinois

Job Summary:

The Delivery Driver will drive a dually pickup truck with a 40\' gooseneck trailer to move parts, tanks, and other merchandise from one location to another. Some overnight travel is required for out of state deliveries.

Work schedule will vary but generally 7am-5pm will be the norm.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Completes an efficient delivery and pick up route for the day.
  • Loads delivery vehicle with tanks scheduled for delivery with the assistance of warehouse personnel.
  • Delivers tanks and/or parts to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
  • Picks up parcels along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested.
  • Maintains basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made.
  • Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to drive safely and maintain a good driving record.
  • Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
  • Ability to plan delivery routes or make adjustments as needed.
  • Ability to maintain driver logs and records.
  • Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.
  • Able to remain professional and courteous at all times.

Education and Experience:
  • ValidCDL Adriver\'s license and clean insurable driving record.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Must be able to load and unload tanks with a fork lift in various types of weather.
  • Must be able to climb on trailer to secure/strap the load that is being transported.

Starting at \$20/hr (based on experience)
