Position Summary:


We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Coordinator - Clerkship.

Under the direction of the Associate Chair for Undergraduate Medical Education and the Clerkship Supervisor, the Clerkship Coordinator will perform a variety of departmental, educational and administrative tasks. The Ambulatory Care Clerkship Coordinator helps to oversee the coordination, planning and administration of the 4-week clerkship, which is given 12 times per year. The incumbent will perform various administrative tasks, including but not limited to purchase requisitions, arrange meetings, catering, and all other logistics as directed by the Associate Chair for Undergraduate Medical Education and Administrative Coordinator of the Department. The Education Administrative Coordinator will also collaborate with the training program directors and receive directive from the Associate Chair for Undergraduate Medical Education and the Administrative Coordinator of the Department.

Job Responsibilities:

The Clerkship Coordinator provides administrative support in managing the daily operations of the Ambulatory Care Clerkship and other educational programs including the Medicine Residency Program, and Internal Medicine Summer Fellowship Program. Primary areas of responsibilities include coordinating and overseeing the workflow, training and day-to-day activities of the Ambulatory Care Clerkship and Internal Medicine Summer Fellowship Program. The incumbent will perform various administrative tasks, including but not limited to purchase requisitions, arrange meetings, catering, and all other logistics as directed by the Associate Chair for Undergraduate Medical Education and Administrative Coordinator of the Department. The Education Administrative Coordinator will also collaborate with the training program directors and receive directive from the Associate Chair for Undergraduate Medical Education and the Administrative Coordinator of the Department.

    • Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's Core Values and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
    • Organize the on-boarding and off -boarding of the monthly rotations of Clerkship students including orientation coordination and other logistics; responsible for tracking and retrieval at the completion of the assignments.

    • coordinating and overseeing the workflow, training, and day to day activities of the Ambulatory Care Clerkship.

    • Collaborates with program directors to develop and manage medical student schedulesto include orientation activities, rotations at all affiliated sites, Objective Structured Clinical Exam, and conferences.

    • Ensure clerkship staff maintains the electronic evaluation system, curriculum management and other reports

    • Plans and executes logistics for clerkship events, including booking conference rooms and arranging food and beverages.

    • Other Duties or tasks as required.

Minimum Qualifications:


To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree in business administration, health care administration or related field.

Minimum of four years of progressively responsible related experience including program/project coordination or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as World, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications.

Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills.

Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.

Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure. Ability to multi task and project manage.

Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with all levels of internal and external faculty, students, and staff.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,400.00- $62,400.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
