Job Description :

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This role works in a fast-paced environment that receives prehospital reports from EMS agencies coming into AHN hospitals and other hospital facilities within the area. This position also works closely with hospital staff in a professional and efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receives Prehospital reports from EMS providers on ground or air ambulances. Relays reports to multiple receiving facilities. (20%)

  • Coordinates and dispatches specialty teams within AHN facilities. (15%)

  • Enters data for all activities performed within the communication center. (25%)

  • Provides direct communication to security staff and dispatches officers when indicated. (15%)

  • Monitors safety and security for areas of responsibility. (25%)

  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • EMT or EMT-P or obtain within 2 years of hire.

  • CPR or obtain within 6 months of hire.

Preferred

  • Dispatching experience for an EMS agency or emergency operations center

  • Two years of experience in EMS and/or 911 Communications center
