Description

Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will collaborate with senior PCF leadership to develop impactful communications – planned and unplanned – primarily to inform, engage, and strengthen the employee experience.

• Serve as a trusted advisor and communications subject matter expert to the management team.

• Develop communications that are aligned with strategic goals and that demonstrate the Company’s fair, firm, and friendly philosophy.

• Advise and influence the development of communications, while being receptive to editorial suggestions and other points of view.

• Adapt and adjust communications in response to changing business needs.

• Coordinate with leadership to judiciously craft external communications as needed.

• Learn how varied groups within the organization are connected and interact, to ensure messaging considers the impact beyond the direct audience.

• Support and maintain relationships with all business groups, to better interpret, understand, and speak to and on behalf of employees at all levels.

• Prioritize and execute requests from the leadership team, while maintaining existing programs such as bi-weekly organization-wide calls, quarterly newsletter, etc.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing, grammar, editing, and proofreading skills.

• Ability to listen, extract details, and craft informative communications that engage the intended audience.

• Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to effectively motivate, foster, and facilitate collaboration across functions.

• Ability to devise and deliver communication solutions using varied platforms, methods, and tools that take into account a diverse and de-centralized overnight workforce that rarely uses a computer during their shift.

• Solid organizational skills, with attention to details, follow-up, and deadlines.

• Proficient in information technology and digital communications, including social media platforms.

• Fluent in the MS Office suite of applications.

DETAILS

• Salary is in the $95 – $105k range depending on depth of experience and qualifications.

• This position requires minimum of 5+ years’ experience in an internal communications position with a BA or BS degree OR 9 years related experience.

• The position is remote, preferably in the NY, NJ, or New England area with drivable access to plant locations as needed; additional travel may be required.

• PCF operations run overnight, 7 days a week. While this position will generally have a traditional corporate schedule, there will be times working during overnight operational hours will be required.
