Job Description

  • Reporting to Head of Medical Operations.

  • Based in Maidenhead with 3/2 flexible working offered.

Role overview:

The Medical Research Project Manager provides a seamless link between internal teams, external service providers and health professionals, to ensure medical projects are delivered on time and executed compliantly. This role is seen as an Affiliate Subject Matter Expert for clinical research and management of studies. The Medical Research Project Manager will provide input into the feasibility and management of clinical research and will oversee budget and invoice management for affiliate research for designated studies. This role will enhance the user experience by systematically capturing feedback, exploring opportunities to drive efficiencies, and continually improving processes, systems and solutions to meet the business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing input into the feasibility and set up of clinical research

  • Management of multiple vendors and study sites.

  • Issue management and subject matter expert of regulatory audits and inspections.

  • Responsible for partnering with the assigned affiliate Medical Team(s) to project manage and execute study related critical documents for Medical Clinical Research Projects.

  • Lead on monitoring of study deliverables for internal teams whilst maintaining a seamless and effective line of communication between vendors and health professionals.

  • Lead on the Study status tracking and reporting to Affiliate management.

  • Executes study drug shipment and contracts.

  • Oversees budget and invoice management for assigned studies.

  • Develops project management processes for the effective management of UK local studies and other medical projects.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Life Sciences Degree minimum.

  • Experience in a clinical operations function or similar is essential.

  • Highly developed project management skills, project management qualification desirable.

  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.

  • Proven ability to establish and maintain high-quality relationships with all levels across the company.

  • IT skills related to Project Management.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Excellent matrix team working skills.

  • Ability to influence without authority.

  • Shows high level of initiative and ability to work independently.
