Major/Essential Functions:

Develop and lead the marketing effort for the Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center (TMAC) of Texas Tech University. This position will work closely with both the prime and sub-recipients of the grant to ensure the marketing message presents a common theme. This position will on occasion travel throughout the West Texas region meeting with Texas manufacturers and/or key stakeholders to identify needs that advance growth and competitiveness in Texas manufacturing. Promote the offerings of TMAC at both virtual and in-person events when required. This position will lead the effort to ensure that the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) customer surveys are completed and that manufacturer relationships are maintained. Additionally, this position will handle a degree of administrative duties and work alongside the TMAC center director in grant proposal and budget development. This position falls under the umbrella of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), however, this is not an SBDC position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on marketing. Two years of demonstrated marketing experience. Experience working within grant projects and higher education programs. Advanced statistical experience. Experience in manufacturing. Project Management, Lean Six Sigma, and continuous improvement experience. Ability to communicate effectively with both external and internal audiences.
