Description

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, patient-focused bilingual Medical Scheduler to join our clinic. The successful candidate will have experience with Epic software and be fluent in both English and Spanish. This is a critical role in managing our patient visit cycle by providing exceptional patient service, scheduling patient appointments, maintaining clinic workflow, and ensuring maximum utilization of clinic resources.

Responsibilities:

• Manage incoming calls while providing necessary information regarding appointments, procedures, and preparations.

• Utilize Epic software to schedule, reschedule, confirm, and cancel appointments according to clinic policies.

• Respond to patient inquiries and address any concerns promptly, acting as the primary point of contact between patient and medical staff.

• Coordinate with clinical staff to manage patient schedule, reducing wait time and optimizing patient visit efficiency.

• Maintain a sensitive, fair, and respectful environment by treating and caring for patients, maintaining patient confidentiality.

• Communicate with patients in English and Spanish, offering bilingual support and service where necessary.

• Document in the electronic medical record according to clinic protocols.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred.

• 1-3 years of experience in a patient scheduling or patient service role.

• Proficiency in Epic or similar healthcare scheduling software is a must.

• Fluent in English and Spanish, with the ability to clearly communicate medical terms and instructions.

• Excellent customer service and phone skills.

• Understanding of medical terminologies and health insurance plans.

• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Must possess a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
