Discover Impactful Work:

Our Manufacturing Planning Team enables the continued success of the Single-Use Technology Division (SUD) by efficiently leveraging our ERP- and Advanced Planning Systems to plan and schedule jobs for custom orders and made-to-stock product. They deliver a schedule that is loaded against the capacity targets, while considering material availability and accommodating expedites and customer requests when possible.

A day in the life:

  • Share best practices with other sites within business unit and be regarded as Subject Matter Expert in the area of Manufacturing Planning

  • Use MPS/MRP in ERP/APS System to drive production planning

  • Manage key item settings in ERP System to ensure proper system functionality

  • Plan and schedule MTS products and monitor excess inventory

  • Monitor and reconcile exception messages

  • Analyze production data to identify potential bottlenecks or risks and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.

  • Actively participate in Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) and Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process

  • Balance customer demands with capacity while establishing the production schedule

  • Expedite production batches when needed to fulfill urgent customer requests

  • Communicate with Customer Operations and Support regarding any issues affecting on-time delivery

  • Coordinate closely with Operations to optimize schedule adherence and down-stream efficiencies

  • Responsible of OTTP (On Time To Promise) and OTIF (On Time In Full)

  • Attend daily management stand-up meetings and provide regular and timely status updates on planning and production issues impacting replenishment to management.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize schedule changes within the frozen window

  • Train as a backup for other members of the team

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, streamline workflows, and increase operational efficiency

  • Support expansion and harmonization projects

  • May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

  • Preference for Certification in APICS CPIM, CSCP, ISM CPSM, Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher)

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Production/Manufacturing Planning or Supply Chain

  • Planning and scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment using MRP/ERP and APS (Oracle, ASCP, SAP, JDE, server-based systems)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Proficient in managing and analyzing data in Excel

  • Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing concepts and principles, finite scheduling, product flow, data management, and supply chain planning
