Requisition Summary Support our dealers and customers to help make our product the best it can be.As a Technical Service Manager, you will be responsible for technical support across the country. Make decisions in the field that will immediately impact our customer's lives and belief in our product.You will work with multiple vendors and suppliers as well as multiple areas within PACCAR including Kenworth engineering, production, sales, PACCAR Parts, accounting, applications, and PACCAR Technical Center. Job Functions / Responsibilities Supports technicians at various Kenworth dealerships by guiding them in their diagnostic. Provides management assistance to dealers to ensure proper customer support in accordance with Kenworth service and warranty related objectives. Works with dealer personnel to develop action plans to improve dealer service, product certifications, and customer satisfaction. Assists in the reduction of Kenworth warranty costs. Assists in documenting procedures for field fix and engineering review. Maintain a technical working knowledge of all engine systems including their features, advantages and benefits over competitive engines. Coordinate with Dealers, Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Service and major suppliers to identify and prioritize chassis systems training needs. This position will require approximately 25% travel. Qualifications & Skills The candidate for this role will be located in BC or Alberta, Canada Bachelors degree in engineering, business administration or automotive technology preferred. 5+ years of directly related experience is required Personal computer skills include working knowledge of Excel, Word Processing and database management software. Ability to work independently; demonstrated experience in diesel engine systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including formal presentations in a classroom environment. Familiarity with PC's and current office administration software. Solid interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Experience in dealer service/service management, preferably in heavy truck or automotive field, or related experience. Demonstrated knowledge of Kenworth truck manufacturing processes and products. Maintain a strong knowledge of Kenworth electrical systems to support the continuing increase in electrical and network complexity. This position will require approximately 25% travel.
