Description

We are seeking a diligent Staff Accountant to work in the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry in Honolulu, Hawaii. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate financial statements, annual budgets, and common area maintenance (CAM) reconciliations. They will also need to understand basic accounting principles and company accounting procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and meaningful financial statements in a timely manner

• Generate monthly billing statements and verify the accuracy of charges and balances

• Follow up with the property manager or Controller to resolve delinquencies and other accounting-related issues

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statement packages

• General Ledger, Financial Statements, AP and AR

Requirements

• Solid understanding of accounting principles

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas

• Experience in financial statement preparation

• Familiarity with monthly variance

• Knowledge of General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills.
