Supports the hospital's Security and Safety Management plan by providing security for staff, patients, visitors, and REHAB property. Controls parking on the hospital grounds and completes required administrative duties. The Safety and Security Officer works under the direction of the Safety Supervisor.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Certification/Licensure:

• Current State of Hawaii Guard license

• BLS certification to be obtained 3 weeks after hire.

Education:

• High school graduate or equivalent

Skills/Experience:

• Strong situational awareness and problem-solving capability

• Willingness to learn and develop

• History of honesty, truthfulness, financial integrity and fair dealing

• Demonstrated customer service skills

• Demonstrated general computer knowledge

• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills

• Knowledge and ability to perform minor equipment maintenance

• Ability to operate most types of vehicles

• Ability to work in a team, under stressful situations and emergencies

• Dependable and able to adapt to change
