We are looking for a Client Manager for our Global Forwarding department. We are searching for an ambitious and driven individual who is customer focused. We have a great training structure for the right individual who is looking for career progression in a dynamic, driven team.

The main focus of the Client Manager will be to maintain and develop client portfolio by proactively managing your allocated accounts, ensuring quality client deliverables are achieved and maximising potential for growth. Positioning the company as a trusted partner in order to achieve greater lock in with the client.

We're offering a salary of up to £36,500 per annum. Additionally, we provide 25 days of holiday (plus bank holidays), with the option to purchase additional days. You'll enjoy various high street discounts, a cycle-to-work scheme, a workplace pension, and numerous other perks.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Set communication schedules and touchpoints for client accounts, with minimum expectations of one client meeting per month and quarterly business reviews.

  • Manage customer value plans based on customers own supply chain strategies and support or own execution.

  • Maintain the revenue and gross profit of each account, actively pursuing all additional revenue streams opportunities.

  • Work with other business units to promote global forwarding services and look for cross sell opportunities,

  • Maintain quality data in CargoWise, Customer portal and CRM relating to your allocated accounts in order to provide best-in-class service and visibility.

  • Support new business pitches and hold responsibility for the effective on-boarding of new clients.

  • Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly to maintain trust and satisfaction

What you need to succeed at XPO:

  • A successful and proven track record in within a freight forwarding company is essential.

  • Proficient communicator with excellent Interpersonal skills

  • Experience in building relationships both externally and internally

  • Strong organisation and time management skills

  • Self-motivated and result-orientated mindset

  • Outstanding analytical skills with ability to conduct client data review and communicate to the customer the value of our offerings both strategically and financially
