Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Management Analyst Supervisor in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

Reference #: 4485378 THE POSITION The Department of Transportation is currently looking to hire a Management Analyst Supervisor to oversee the Inventory Management Unit within the Materials and Services Management Division of the Bureau of Office Services. In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of three Management Analyst 2s. As the supervisor of material inventory programs and systems, your responsibilities will include reviewing recommended inventory practices to enhance operational decision making and systems policy. You will also analyze staff reports on materials usage, purchasing activity, and costs, as well as examine system data to develop trend reports on inventory status. In addition, you will manage master data in SAP Plant Maintenance for Highway and Highway related materials inventory, reviewing and analyzing department data on inventory levels and usage. Based on your analysis, you will make recommendations to the manager to optimize inventory quantities and promote just-in-time delivery of materials for cost avoidance and budget effectiveness.

In this role, you will also be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of the Statewide Maintenance Accreditation Performance Index (MAPI), Inventory Control Metric. This may involve issuing monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports to field organizations, including Assistant District Executives for Maintenance, to ensure they are meeting Inventory Control goals. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of statewide reports that provide analytical tools and information to support managerial decisions and actions. You will review inventory reports to ensure compliance with policy and procedure.

Another aspect of your role will involve participating in and providing oversight of on-site Engineering District PennDOT Inventory Management Quality Assurance Review (PIMQAR). This will entail reviewing evaluations of inventory programs and staff determinations to assess the extent to which goals and objectives are being met. You will also coach and train organizations on how to effectively utilize existing inventory management reports, implement best practices, and identify improvement opportunities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience as a Management Analyst 2; or Three years of progressively responsible experience in technical management analysis work which included evaluating work methods, procedures or organizational structures, and a bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Other Requirements: This particular position also requires a current PA driver's license which is not under suspension. You must meet the PA residency requirement.
