The General Government Technology Services Office (GGTSO) is searching for an Internet Technology Generalist 1 to work with its centralized user support team in the GGTSO Service Help Desk Division. This position is responsible for providing technical assistance and IT support to employees in all locations and manages all IT processes in support of the GGTSO. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an Information Technology Generalist 1, you provide technical assistance for a full range of technical services including desktop, network, server and telecommunications administration and support. The major areas of responsibilities include access points, end user computing devices, physical and virtual servers, switches, routers, wide area network (WAN) connections, and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) solutions.

Duties and responsibilities include coordinating remote support services to users on all IT related issues, utilizing the Commonwealth's IT service management system to manage tickets and coordinate resolution and reporting of trouble calls, and utilizing customer service skills to establish positive and constructive working relationships.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services; or One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Information Technology Technician; or One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
