Amazon Materials Manager, Devices Supply Chain & Logistics in Hanoi, Vietnam

Description

The Materials Manager is responsible for all activities related to order fulfillment, from forecasts to delivery, including day-to-day communication and management of the OEM partners globally. This person has a business orientation and is responsible for working within the local and remote Operations team driving order fulfillment.

• Act as the primary liaison between OEM and the team in Sunnyvale monitoring, managing, and driving the OEM to assure goals / schedules are being met.

• Communicate forecast and verify fulfillment from a materials perspective.

• Drive solutions to reduce and eliminate any shortages preventing meeting order schedule, including assisting in sourcing of materials as required.

• Schedule and host meetings with suppliers in US and/or globally as required.

• Responsible for report generation and distribution.

• Represent the materials organization in internal/ external program meetings.

• Travel required, up to 30%

The Materials Manager (MM) is responsible for everything to do with supply continuity to ensure we can build the products that delight customers. Day to day this requires interaction and collaboration with colleagues in almost all areas of the organization as well as external suppliers. The MM is the driver to ensure everyone is aware of what is needed to allow us to build to our plan.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of program or project management experience

3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

2+ years of supply chain experience

Bachelor's degree

Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

3+ years of driving process improvements experience

Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
