Description

The Commercial Head- Bangladesh is accountable for achieving overall sales objectives. This is done through responsibility for developing sales strategies(Market development models), Distribution road map communicating expectations, assuring accountability for implementation and developing and designing the S&A organisation in tune with changing times and providing support to the sales organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement short and long-range sales strategy.

  • Develop and implement operating goals and objectives for sales

  • Forecast annual and monthly revenue streams

  • Develop specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company products

  • Collaborate in implementation of marketing programs

  • Achieve revenue and profit goals

  • Responsible for sales management organizational design, position descriptions, establishing performance standards

  • Communicate expectations, assure accountability for implementation and provide support to sales organization

  • Expand distribution system in line with business growth and market need

  • Maintain contact with distribution channel and promote positive relations with distribution channel.

  • Monitor effectiveness of distribution system on annual basis and implement appropriate corrective measures

  • Administer commercial policy across the distribution system.

  • Work closely with marketing in product pricing, customer segmentation, product positioning. Monitor and provide input to marketing on market trends, competitor activity, pricing and in-season competitive responses. Work with marketing manager to develop new opportunities in products, markets and strategies

  • Participate actively in product management teams for product development strategies, product promotions, business plans and life cycle management

Qualifications

  • Bachelors/Master's Degree in Agriculture

  • 15+ years' experience in agro-input industry

  • Market shaping individuals who want to transform the agriculture industry to meet the world's growing need for food
