Summary:

The Director, Projects - Solar directs and oversees active project(s), focusing on safety, quality, contract negotiations, budget, schedule, sub-contractors, suppliers, and change orders. This position will be responsible for the oversight of one to three active projects at any given time.

  • Generates internal reports for the project, personnel, budget, and schedule updates.

  • Guides and directs the Project Managers to deliver quality projects on time and within budget successfully.

  • Coaches and mentors Project Managers to improve skill sets.

  • Understands and reviews Safety Management Systems, Quality Management Systems, and Environment Management Systems.

  • Reviews internal and external weekly and monthly project reports generated by Project Managers and site teams.

  • Identifies project constraints and develops response plans. · Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.

  • Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Company Policies & Procedures.

  • Improves and documents processes and procedures.

  • Prepares and submits proposal requests, directing and overseeing the pre-construction teams.

  • Supports the responses to Requests for Proposals and helps the bid process to negotiate new projects successfully.

  • Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action. Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.

  • Manages one or more direct reports.

  • Participates in hiring and selection process to fill positions on the team.

  • Communicates regularly with direct reports on goals, accomplishments, and information on policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Construction Related Field or equivalent relevant experience (two years’ experience is equivalent to one year education) required.

  • 3+ years of experience in Director level or similar position with relevant and comparable construction projects.

  • Domestic travel between 31% - 50%; Valid Driver’s License Required.

Anticipated base salary range: $175,000 - $206,000/ Annually.

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
