The Connected Experiences team at Microsoft strives to help every user to use their devices seamlessly, whether it be a PC, phone, tablet or watch.

As we grow in the cross-device space to expand our offerings, we need a Senior Software Engineering Manager to help light up these magical experiences. We seek to create differentiated experiences that make users love their ecosystem of experiences, with any device they have. Our team at Microsoft is responsible for multiple cross-device experiences including the ”Phone Link experience” in Windows, the “Phone Link services” fabric, and Link-to-Windows Android and iOS experiences.

Our mission is to help our customers achieve more by breaking productivity silos between devices. Together with our partners, we are building engaging & differentiated cross device experiences across Windows PCs & mobile phones. The experiences we build are used by millions of people daily. Our team uses deep customer research with data informed design to imagine, build and ship products.

Responsibilities

• You will manage a team of full-stack engineers who work across Windows, iOS and Android apps.

• You will attract, hire, and retain your team of diverse and talented engineers, as a people-oriented manager.

• You will take an active role in defining architecture, team culture, building roadmaps, and managing product quality.

• You are hands-on technical manager who can help the team write clean, reliable and scalable code.

• You will be data-driven and customer obsessed, prioritizing engineering investments to deliver customer value regularly and consistently.

• You are agile and versatile, open to change and love a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• You have at least 2 years of people management experience.

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in C/C++/C#/Java.

• You have a demonstrateda track record of designing, developing and delivering innovative user experiences, through a team of engineers.

• You care deeply about growing people, are an excellent coach, and will be a strong mentor and role model for other employees.

• You have excellent communication and cross group collaboration skills.
