As a Photomask Printability and Repair Process Engineer at MTC (Mask Technology Center), Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of MTC’s Printability and Photomask Repair processes. You will also work extensively with tool vendors, as well as MTC’s fab and equipment support engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and capability.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze repair and printability processes, identify opportunities to improve workflow and technical capabilities

  • Design and execute experiments to improve existing repair and printability processes

  • Drive projects with a cross-functional team to improve workflows and

  • Use DOE to develop repair processes for new reticle materials

  • Conduct investigations to better understand available reticle process window

  • Implement SPC monitoring of critical process parameters to ensure process consistency

  • Conduct pFMEA and generate solutions to reduce risk, and improve process robustness

  • Follow up on failed repairs or process issues, work to permanently correct any issues

  • Consult with fab team on day-to-day questions

  • Create and maintain procedures and guidelines for correct process execution

  • Mentor and train other engineers and manufacturing personnel

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in photomask printability or photo lithography

  • Good understanding of optical patterning, simulation experience preferred (SLitho or equivalent)

  • Working knowledge of SEM and AFM imaging and repair technology

  • Ability to work with minimal guidance

  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) and document experimental results

  • Self-motivated with strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Good interpersonal skills, patience, and willingness to teach others

Education Requirements:

  • B.S. or higher degree in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or Engineering Discipline
