Job Description Summary

Lead the cross functional team to deliver on all program(s) deliverables within the terms and conditions of the contract and business case. Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team. Guided by commercial practices and policies that may be shaped by the role. Has significant control/influence over commercial priorities. There is moderate autonomy within the role to enter into/execute Commercial arrangements. High levels of Commercial judgement are required to achieve outcomes required.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Summary - responsibilities included but are not limited to: Perform as interface between the customer and the internal business team, managing the transfer of information and requests. Assure timely resolution of issues, keep the customer advised of the progress of the program, and negotiate changes, variations, solutions to issues. Responsible for adherence to contract service, operations, and performance specifications, as well as financial & technical metrics specific to contract. Support proposal and negotiations. Other responsibilities include:

  • Cross-Functional Coordination : Coordinate activities across multiple departments, such as engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.

  • Customer Interface : Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, providing updates on project progress, and managing customer expectations.

  • Supplier Management : Works with sourcing to oversee relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, monitoring of deliverables, and resolution of issues.

  • Quality Assurance : Works with QE to implement and maintain quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

  • Cost Control : Monitor project expenditures and identify opportunities for cost savings or efficiency improvements to meet budgetary constraints.

  • Risk Management : Identify potential risks to project success and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.

  • Change Management : Manage changes to project scope, schedule, or requirements, assessing the impact on resources and timelines and communicating effectively with stakeholders.

  • Progress Reporting : Generate regular reports on project status, including milestones achieved, issues encountered, and corrective actions taken, for presentation to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Team Leadership : Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

  • Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation within the program management function, driving efficiencies and enhancing organizational capabilities.

  • Knowledge Management : Capture and disseminate lessons learned from past projects to inform best practices and improve future project outcomes.

  • Communication : Facilitate communication channels among all stakeholders, ensuring clarity of objectives, expectations, and feedback loops throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree with at least 6 years of experience in manufacturing program management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP Certification

  • Master's Degree

  • Experience in aerospace/electrical products

  • Experience with highly regulated industries.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs

This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status.

The base pay range for this position is $126,700 to $210,900. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on June 28th, 2024.
