Siemens Mobility Thailand is looking for a Process Automation Engineer for Traction Power Supply System (Junior level) with a passion for teamwork and delivering new products in an environment for our Engineering team.

In this role you will have the opportunity to be part of the Engineering Team, based in Bangkok office, supporting in Control concept design and Software preparation for Traction substation protection, control and monitoring for Rail Electrification.

Responsibilities and Tasks

· You will execute methodic engineering of Process Automation software work package and Details design submission of DC, AC Traction Power Supply (TPS) substations for Rail Electrification Systems by considering both, the customer specifications and the Siemens’ regulations and standards. This is including.

o Preparation of control software of Traction Substation control

o Preparation of protection relay parameterization

o Preparation of HMI projects

o Internal acceptance tests (Partially)

o Customer acceptance tests (Partially)

  • You will clarify the Station Control System technical interface and integration of all electrical systems within the Bulk, Traction and Service substations.

  • You will technically support to manufacturers and commissioning engineers concerning analysis of technical problems and responding of technical inquiries.

  • You will plan and control of one’s own engineering work packages in view of date, cost and qualityaspects.

  • Bachelor degree or above in Electrical / Automation Engineering / Electronic / Control & Instrument with 1-3 years of experience, ideally in the field of Power distribution, Electrical control, Protection and automation system.

  • You have good knowledge of the automation language IEC 61131-3 and the programming language C as well as object-oriented languages (e.g. C++, C#)

  • You have good knowledge of Network control, communication and security (option) with switching and routing components (Siemens equipment based e.g. Simatic S7, SCALANCE are preferred) and familiarize with standard protocols (e.g. Profinet, Profibus, Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, DNP3, etc.) and IEC standards, in particular remote-control interface with IEC 60870-5-104/101) and substation environment (IEC61850)

  • You have basic knowledge of TPS in the field of Substation control system (Supervisory control & monitoring, value measurement, communication), Product knowledge in Traction Power Supply, DC digital protection relays i.e., Sitras MDC, Sitras PRO.

  • You have basic knowledge of relevant European and International Standards.

  • You familiarize with Software Engineering processes.

  • You are experienced in project realization, preferably in an international project environment.

· You have a good command in English and Thai communication, reading and writing in daily business.
