Technology (T), as Siemens’ central research and development arm, has a critical role to play here. Under the leadership of the Chief Technology Officer and in partnership with the operating units, T develops Siemens’ technology and innovation strategy, creates, and industrializes basic technologies, promotes business excellence through consulting and engineering services, and protects the company’s intellectual property. Technology is both a creative driver of innovative innovations and a partner to the Siemens businesses, offering them high quality research, development, and consulting services.

About our Group: The Autonomous Systems and Control team in India works on building the next generation of technologies for autonomous systems. We are looking for versatile, highly motivated researchers to develop autonomous system capabilities for Siemens’ including self-driving cars, drones, and other autonomous systems.

We are looking for a Lead Research Engineer – Autonomous Systems and Control

You’ll break new ground by:

  1. Experience on SIMATIC Portfolio (PLCs, SCADA, SIMIT, MFP, Edge) - Knowledge in configuration, programming (STL, FBD, LAD) on HiL, SiL, NX MCD.

  2. Build Digital Automation Simulation Environments (using Process Simulate, Plant simulation software)

  3. Good Programming knowledge on C++ or Python or other Programming languages

  4. Knowledge on Omniverse & Software defined control

You’re excited to build on your existing expertise, including:

· Subject matter expert in Automation and will be building advanced automation hardware setups in both virtual and physical environments to run advanced algorithms developed at Siemens Technology

· Experience and sound understanding of the benefits of Automation simulation, digital twin’s concepts, and virtual commissioning, validate assumptions, and clarify technical aspects before start building.

· Using the knowledge of digital technology to solve Siemens Business Challenges and create innovative technical solutions & prototypes that help businesses to achieve their goals.

· Collaborating with team members and other Research Group teams members to ensure seamless deployment of automation digital twin technologies for futuristic use cases for Siemens Business Units.

· Leading in implementation projects for Business Units during the proof of value phase as well as support them during the production deployment phase by Business Units

· Innovative & Research Oriented

Preferred:

  • Master’s in computer science
